Skydiving Fatalities Query Engine

I first released the Skydiving Fatalities Query Engine on my personal website in early 1999. It was a direct copy, albeit database driven, of the original Skydiving Fatalities maintained by Barry Brummit. As such it was only updated when the original was updated. Earlier this year SkydivingFatalities.com appeared; another data driven version of the fatalities provided by Eric Denney but still maintained by Barry.
However, Barry's a busy guy and the site isn't being updated regularly. I wanted to provide more uptodate information so I've set up this site. Not only did I want to provide uptodate info, I also wanted to provide more. I am in the process of adding the relevant country's Sport Governing Body's findings. The US, UK and Australia are quite good at this. Anyone else? I'm also adding more detailed information about equipment, the jumpers sex, weight, nationality and time in the sport. I'm also adding names. Names are very important to me; people should not be forgotten. This information is sensitive though and will not be shown be default. You'll need to select that option from the Query page. I'm also using resources at my disposal to add incidents from 1995 and before, predating when Barry originally started recording this information. I hope to have this data incoporated soon. At the moment, I don't think I can fill Barry's shoes when it comes to providing personal analysis of the incidents. I'll try to keep updates regular, sourced online and from the media, but grounded in truth(!) and from information I receive. If you would like to provide any further information in confidence, then please email me. I'll forward any information I receive to Barry as well.
